The Environmental Business Line of Arcadis is seeking an ambitious, hardworking, dependable Toxicologist/Risk Assessor to join our world-class firm. The preferred location for this position is in Colorado. This full-time position within our Risk Assessment and Toxicology Services group will support diverse environmental assessment and restoration projects, as well as product stewardship projects. The ideal candidate will possess great attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, business development experience, an ability to work independently, ability to work as a productive member of a high-performance team, and a passion for continued learning. Role accountabilities
Perform literature reviews and hazard evaluations for chemical substances, and critically review toxicological literature. Review toxicological data, perform dose–response modeling, identify points of departure, and develop toxicity reference values according to U.S. and international guidelines. Perform exposure assessments for environmental, consumer, professional, and occupational settings, and assess human health and/or ecological risk. Review analytical data and instrumental analysis methods, and prepare visual, graphical, and tabular summaries of toxicological and environmental data. Interpret state and federal regulations and perform technical report writing. Develop presentations and present information to large audiences within Arcadis, at conferences, and at public meetings. Contribute to proposal development and business development and help shape Arcadis’ toxicology and risk assessment services; work with local and national project teams, clients, and stakeholders. Be detail oriented, well organized, self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable with remote or hybrid work; require excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Toxicology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field Ph.D. in Toxicology A minimum of 5 years of experience as a working toxicologist in a consulting setting Experience performing systematic literature reviews, systematic data evaluations, data extraction, and risk of bias assessments with quality control considerations Experience developing hazard profiles and toxicity reference values according to U.S. federal guidance (e.g., USEPA’s Provisional Peer-Reviewed Toxicity Values or Integrated Risk Information System) Preferred Qualifications
7 years of experience working as a toxicologist in a consulting setting Experience developing and validating instrumental methods for chemical analysis (e.g., GC-MS, LC-MS) Experience evaluating exposures to and toxicological effects of emerging contaminants Working experience with USEPA’s Benchmark Dose Modeling software Familiarity with OECD/USEPA guideline testing procedures for toxicological health effects Experience performing data analysis using the R programming language Why Arcadis?

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. Salary range for this position is $86,496 - 142,718.
