Conduct advanced and highly specialized investigations of insurance fraud complaints under limited supervision. Perform surveillance, examine claims, interview witnesses and suspects, take photographs, document evidence, prepare detailed reports, provide final recommendations for prosecution, and testify in court. Support local law enforcement by participating in measures to prevent or control civil disorder and acts of violence related to labor disputes, protests, or large gatherings; provide physical security for critical installations and essential assets; participate in evacuations during threats; perform extraditions; transport high-risk prisoners; provide security for judges, juries, and witnesses in high-risk trials; assist in sequestration of juries in high-profile or capital cases; participate in stakeouts for fugitives or high-risk targets; track, locate, and apprehend fleeing suspects. Report information by preparing written statements/affidavits from suspects, victims, and witnesses; convey case updates orally for briefing other agents, supervisors, prosecutors, and officials; draft investigation findings and status reports; provide testimony in state or federal court as needed. Perform administrative tasks related to training, communications, special assignments, and other functional areas of responsibility. Support program areas related to uniform crime reporting, NCIC auditing, executive protection, criminal intelligence, missing person matters, regulatory services, and/or marijuana eradication. Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Must be certified as a Class I Law Enforcement Officer from the SC Criminal Justice Academy. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. This position is subject to overnight travel and 24-hour emergency call. Investigative experience at a public law enforcement agency is preferred. Insurance fraud experience is preferred. Benefits
