Job Summary The Senior eDiscovery Project Manager is a trusted advisor to case teams on technology and workflows who ensures that projects remain defensible, on time and within budget and result in high degree of attorney and client satisfaction. The Senior eDiscovery Project Manager will lead in the creation of a matter’s technology support plan, often involving complex data process workflows, from collection to document analysis and review that require support using industry best practices. The Senior eDiscovery Project Manager will work to coordinate the efforts of members of the internal legal support groups, attorneys and vendors to ensure that the legal team complies with all production and data analysis requirements.
The Senior eDiscovery Project Manager evaluates, recommends and tests new and existing technologies and workflows for use in document review and analysis and will train attorneys and mentor professionals in its use.
Senior eDiscovery Project Managers maintain regular office hours consistent with the Firm’s normal business hours and are expected to be available, as needed, for after‑hours or weekend overtime and occasional travel.
Job Functions
Manage complex eDiscovery data projects, determining the most effective technology solutions for creating, processing and managing electronic data to suit case team requirements.
Develop and manage efficient workflows and processes to reduce costs while maintaining defensible documentation at all times while quickly identifying, preventing and resolving issues within legal operations projects.
Analyze complex and non‑traditional data structures and apply appropriate technology and workflows to achieve legal goals.
Advise lead attorneys and client leadership on various strategic approaches on the most effective technology solutions for creating, processing and managing electronic data to successfully manage case team requirements.
Coordinate between case teams to select and manage service providers, budgets and invoices for eDiscovery projects to ensure vendor work is being performed in accordance with Firm specifications.
Act as a technical advisor and conduct training on analytics, machine learning, and review tools for case teams and other firm personnel to ensure successful execution in complex litigation and investigations, leveraging available technology and best practices.
Develop and execute on strategies for disparate data sources, including structured, unstructured, mobile, and cloud data.
Provide support during the electronic document review process, including assisting with the design of review workflow and logic, development of coding structure, creation of document review batches, workflow administration, ongoing quality control and desk‑side support.
Coordinate document production activities from litigation support databases, including assistance with negotiating or developing the format of production, defining the technical production criteria and workflow, executing the production activities, copying and formatting production output and running relevant quality control processes.
Coordinate and assist in the development of simple graphics, presentations and demonstratives.
Provide support for remote trial sites with some potential for onsite trial needs requiring travel.
Assist with pretrial/presentation activities involving electronic data such as building trial exhibits, witness kits and production sets.
Maintain Case Notebook transcript databases, load new electronic transcripts and assist attorneys in querying and effectively using transcripts.
Provide support for story development, investigation, and case analysis through the use of fact analysis technology tools.
Provide direction to Associates and other team members on executing the team’s technology plan.
Perform other tasks, as assigned.

Industry leading litigation support databases, platforms and providers (on‑premises and SaaS solutions), including Relativity, Casemap and CaseNotebook.

Familiarity with spreadsheet and database formulas, scripting and programming is helpful, but not required.
Minimum Job Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required, B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
7 years of work experience in legal support, including at least seven (7) years in an Automated Litigation Support or equivalent position at a mid to large law firm or major litigation support vendor.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage project plans.
Relativity Certified Administrator Certification preferred but 5 to 7 years of experience with Relativity in an administrator role.
Exceptional ability to be a trusted advisor and influence key players on the team and clients in the strategic use of litigation technology.
Exceptional ability to develop strong professional relationships with attorneys, other legal support staff, Firm clients, opposing parties, third parties and witnesses.
Proficiency with relevant software (Adobe Professional Suite, MS Office Suite, Relativity, Casemap, CaseNotebook, Case Management software and other ancillary tools).
Robust verbal and written communication skills to produce clear and effective work product.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision and ability to collaborate with a team of professionals in the use of litigation technology.
Exceptional ability to interpret and analyze data as it relates to case needs.
Ability to be resourceful and efficient in approach and accomplishment of assignments.
Understanding of standard and repeatable litigation support functions, such as importing and exporting of data and generating document productions.
May on occasion be required to work at a trial site, a client office or other alternative work location.
