Photo Retoucher = CPG
The Photo Retoucher is responsible for editing and reviewing all digital images for use across eCommerce websites, emails, and other digital channels. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Studio and Product Development teams to ensure post-production standards are met and maintained through revisions and quality control. Using advanced photo editing software such as Photoshop, you will enhance images by adjusting resolution, composition, and color balance, as well as cropping and refining imagery to meet brand standards.
Reporting Structure
The Photo Retoucher is part of the Creative Team and reports to the Lead Photographer. This position also works cross-functionally with various departments and leaders across the organization.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
Perform a range of image editing tasks using digital photography assets.
Use photo editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Adobe Suite) to enhance images by correcting resolution, composition, tone, color, saturation, and brightness.
Retouch images by adding or removing objects or integrating additional visual elements as needed.
Collaborate closely with the Studio Team—including photographers, stylists, and videographers—and with the Product Development Team.
Edit and review all digital images for use on eCommerce platforms.
Transition raw camera files into polished final images, ensuring product accuracy with approval from Product Development and Channel Sales.
Format and enhance all image content according to cropping and specification guidelines.
Edit and process approximately 20+ images per day with varying complexity.
Upload imagery via Dropbox, SharePoint, or other cloud-based data storage platforms.
Color-correct products featuring a range of materials using physical samples as references.
Facilitate communication between photographers, stylists, designers, product developers, and the Channel Sales Team.
Ensure visual consistency across all product imagery.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or BFA in Photography, Graphic Design, or equivalent professional experience required.
