Environmental Quality Analyst 9-P11 - Lead and Copper Compliance Analyst - Nonco

Overview
In this role, you will:
Work with local county health departments and nontransient noncommunity water supplies (serving water to same individuals on an average daily basis over 6 months per year, such as places of employment, schools, daycare center) during lead and copper action level exceedance response.
As part of a team, support the lead and copper action level exceedance compliance process for community water supplies (serving water year round, such as municipalities, mobile home communities, apartments, nursing homes).
Build relationships with local health departments and noncommunity water supplies throughout Michigan. Serve as a technical resource and provided targeted reviews of proper lead and copper sample location selection, annual sampling requirements, service line inventories, and 90th percentile calculations. Work with Federal and State partners toward these common goals.
Through research and experience, grow as an analyst in the consistent application of the Michigan Lead and Copper Rule (LCR).
Develop reference materials, protocols, procedures, and presentations for the implementation of the LCR in Michigan.
Join a dynamic and cohesive team to assist in the implementation of the Lead and Copper Rule in an effort to improve drinking water quality.
Position Description The work location of this position will be the Deborah A. Stabenow Building in Lansing, MI.
The selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person) . Employees approved for schedules that include remote work must complete that work within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed. When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Details regarding work location and schedule options for this position may be discussed during the interview process.
Education Possession of a bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences, engineering, environmental studies and sustainability, physical sciences, resource development, or resource management.
OR
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major with at least 30 semester (45 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: biochemistry, biology, botany, chemistry, crop and soil science, ecology, engineering, environmental health, environmental science, environmental studies and sustainability, forest management, geology, meteorology, microbiology, physical geography, physics, remote sensing, resource development, resource management, toxicology, or zoology.
Experience Environmental Quality Analyst 9

Environmental Quality Analyst 10
One year of professional experience equivalent to an Environmental Quality Analyst 9.
Environmental Quality Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Environmental Quality Analyst including one year equivalent to an Environmental Quality Analyst 10.
