Role Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a skilled
Sushi Cook
to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing and executing high‑quality sushi, sashimi, and rolls while ensuring consistency, precision, and adherence to food safety standards.
What You Will Do
Prepare and execute high‑quality sushi, sashimi, and rolls following established recipes and presentation standards.
Demonstrate strong fish butchery skills and knowledge of sushi ingredients, preparation, and plating techniques.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with food safety and hotel standards.
Operate and properly maintain all kitchen and sushi bar equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness.
Interact with guests in a professional and engaging manner when working in guest‑facing settings such as sushi bars or activations.
Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to Four Seasons service standards.
What You Bring
High school education or equivalent; formal culinary training preferred.
Minimum 2 years of culinary experience, ideally in a luxury hotel or fine‑dining environment.
Strong technical skills including fish butchery, sushi rice preparation, and sauce production, with a solid understanding of seasonal ingredients and food safety.
Proficient in knife handling, equipment operation, and maintaining organization and cleanliness in a fast‑paced kitchen.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills with the ability to follow recipes, manage prep lists, and uphold quality and consistency standards.
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
