The Mechanics will install and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment. Assembles and installs machines then tests them to make sure they are working correctly. Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations. Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime. Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts. Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones. Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts. Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts. Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers. Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor. Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition. Qualifications
Preferred: Five (5) years mechanical maintenance. Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements
Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign. May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above. Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas. Must have full range of motion consistent with age. Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders. Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises. Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces. Safety/Steel toe shoes are required. Equal Opportunity Employer
