Description Minnesota Montessori Accelerated Learning Center is a Montessori School seeking Lead Teachers to support our Early Childhood Education Program!
To be qualified for this position, we require previous early childhood teaching experience and a Montessori credential.
Required Shift: Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the safety and well-being of students and staff at all times.
Develop and implement educational environment and curriculum consistent with American Montessori Society standards and Premier policies and procedures.
Develop lesson plans and manage the learning experiences for students to ensure the needs of the group and individual students are met.
Maintain accurate record-keeping and student assessment, including daily observations, progress updates, year and annual progress reports/portfolios, attendance rolls, incident and behavior reports, and standardized assessments where applicable.
Develop positive relationships with children and families, encouraging bonding to the class and the larger school community; communicate child’s development based on individualized tracking of student progress, and when necessary, communicate developmental needs to parents and provide strategies or referrals.
Participate in all parent-oriented activities including the admissions process, orientation, conferences, festivals, society meetings, marketing events, and parent workdays; submit written information for media and marketing purposes upon request of the Director or other administrative staff.
Participate in professional development activities designated by the Director, including workshops, curriculum meetings, planning, and committee service; also mentor assistants in the Montessori philosophy and teaching proper use of materials.
Maintain a neat, clean, well‑organized, and attractive prepared environment consistent with Montessori pedagogy; ensure classroom and associated areas (including playground) meet all licensing, safety, and health requirements.
Work 12 months out of the year; school hours 7:30–5:30. Teachers must assist with opening or closing of school activities and attend Montessori events outside of the normal work week as required.
Physical ability to work around small children, accomplish tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
Carry out daily responsibilities of the classroom related to the care of the children.
