Job Summary
Food Service Worker / Cashier position at Inova Fairfax Hospital. The role includes cashiering duties and general food service work, maintaining sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform prep work (washing, peeling, cutting, seeding fruits and vegetables); weigh and measure ingredients. Move pans, kettles, and trays of food between stations, stove, and refrigerator safely. Store foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety procedures. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements. Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner and resolve complaints. Enter sales transactions, accept various payment methods, issue receipts, and handle cash changes. Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while keeping service areas clean. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Prior food service and customer service experience required. Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Compensation and Working Hours
Pay Range: $17.50–$17.75 per hour. Sign‑on bonus of $750 paid in two installments (90 days and 180 days). Full‑time schedule: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm, days may vary and rotating weekends. Location
