Job Overview Raritan Valley Community College is seeking a part‑time instructor to teach Film Studies courses, including Film Technique and Survey of American Film. The role supports students in understanding how American films reflect and shape culture and developing critical analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Teach Film Technique and Survey of American Film courses.

Guide students in analyzing film language, cinematography, editing, lighting, sound, and mise en scène.

Encourage critical thinking and clear writing about film.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field.

Strong background in film theory and history with emphasis on American cinema.

Prior college‑level teaching experience preferred.

Compensation Hourly salary range: $1,143.00–$1,174.00. Positions are per diems.
