Guidance Preparatory Academy Bartonville is a licensed childcare center seeking a
Lead Teacher!
Age group: Twos.
Compensation Base pay range: $18.00/hr – $20.00/hr. Compensation based on education and experience.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Six months of classroom experience.
Ability to pass all background checks.
CDA highly preferred.
Required Shift Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:40 pm.

Resume screen.
Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes).
On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes).

Main Job Responsibilities
Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; use our parent communication app efficiently.
Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
Physical ability to work around small children – sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
