Inside Sales Representative

5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants This position is responsible for growing a paint sales territory that focuses on multiple market segmentsand for supporting the sales efforts of the paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. You will develop a strategy to grow sales and profits to key, opportunity, new and existing customers, and will identify ways to deepen the business relationship with those customers. You will also assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services. This involves ensuring that sales transactions are completed accurately, maintaining accurate work files and formulas, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, and tinting and mixing them to customer specifications. This position will also stock shelves and set up displays, clean store equipment, and load and unload trucks. It may assist in making deliveries if necessary. In this position, you will secure new accounts while maintaining existing customer accounts, as well as collecting reliable customer/territory information to estimate individual customer potential. You will utilize tools for pre-call planning and documenting sales calls both daily and monthly to ensure time is being maximized and your plan is being executed effectively. You will develop a territory market strategy, as well as conduct product demonstrations and competitive product comparisons to identify a competitive advantage. You will work directly with the manager and other sales representatives to support a positive outcome with customers, and where necessary, to assist in product issue/supply problems. Teamwork and communication will be keys to the success of this position. You will be responsible for handling of customer complaints and managing the resolution. Required Skills ·College degree preferred, or equivalent industry business experience ·Two plus years B2B sales experience required (previous paint experience not required) ·Strong knowledge of retail process and best practices ·Working knowledge of required software programs (Microsoft Office, CRM) ·Excellent communication, listening and public speaking skills ·Ability to analyze situations and identify opportunities for success ·Effective decision making and problem-solving skills ·Valid driver’s license and a good driving record a must. ·Ability to work evenings & weekends when necessary ·Ideal candidate will reside in Monroe/West Monroe, LA. ·Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred Required Experience We are an Equal Opportunity Employer F/M/D/V Basic Qualifications • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Must have a valid driver's license. • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status. • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours and required overtime, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation. • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to operate material handling equipment (e.g., hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.). • Must be able to tint paint, therefore, must be able to distinguish the difference between colors. • Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.
