Overview

Position is within Department of Behavioral Health, primary work environment will be at the Child and Family Behavioral Health Service (CAFBHS), delivering care to children, youth, and family members. Incumbent will be trained on and expected to follow the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children (MATCH). Work hours: 0730-1630, Mon-Fri, excluding Federal holidays. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation. Responsibilities

Reviews notes and information collected to identify problems and concerns. Develops therapeutic or treatment plan. Regularly coordinates with other clinics and organizations that support the patient. Collects bio-psycho-social information about patients. Evaluates results of counseling methods to determine the effectiveness of treatment used. Provides reports and approves consults Provides individual, family, and group clinical counseling services. Provides concise documentation of care and recommendations. Interacts with other professionals to discuss therapy or treatment, new resources or techniques. Requirements

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Basic Life Support (BLS): This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire. All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. Tier 1: This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment. Childcare Background Check: This position has specific initial background investigation requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis. Influenza: This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations. Hepatitis B: Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position. Tuberculosis (TB): This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing. Mission Essential: This position has been designated Mission Essential. On-Call: This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules. Physical: This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. Shift Work: This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules. Rotating Shifts: This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis. Credentialing: This position requires the incumbent to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
