EBAD seeks an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the Electronics Inspector role, reporting to the Quality Engineering Lead, Electronics.
Job Description This position is located in Simsbury, CT and involves inspection of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, final assemblies, and documentation for various electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies within the Electronics Value Stream.
Responsibilities
Inspect electronics per IPC and J‑STD requirements (soldering, crimping, staking, coating, potting, etc.).
Perform in‑process inspection of general workmanship and technical data package compliance.
Record inspection results in a clear and organized manner.
Review manufacturing build records to ensure proper documentation.
Oversee material management of electronic and electro‑mechanical components per supplier data sheets and EBAD procedures.
Ensure proper documentation and control of non‑conforming product.
Support manufacture of electrical/electro‑mechanical devices and systems according to detailed manufacturing and quality instructions.
Setup and maintain inspection cell in accordance with 6S principles.
Requirements
Electronics inspection experience (component inspection, PCB assembly, electromechanical assembly) and knowledge of IPC & J‑STD specifications.
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
Accurate records of inspections performed and creation of discrepancy reports.
Perform visual, dimensional, first‑piece, and final inspection of detailed parts and assemblies.
Ability to work to procedures of varying detail.
Strong time‑management skills.
Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
High school diploma required.
Preferred Skills
Current IPC‑A‑610 inspection certification.
AS9102 First Article Inspection review experience.
Experience working in a development and production environment.
