Overview

Roxbury Treatment Center is hiring a full-time Counselor Assistant to work in the Substance Use Disorder Unit. This is a Monday - Friday day position with evening and/or weekend hours as necessary. Responsibilities

The Substance Use Disorder Counselor Assistant is responsible for developing and carrying out treatment and direct patient care for adults within the substance abuse detox and rehabilitation program for the recovery of chemical dependency, substance abuse or addictions. Interviewing chemically dependent patients, completing assessments and social histories, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, conducting orientation for new admissions, and developing and implementing individual treatment plans. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in Counseling, Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Psychology or other related field - OR - Associate’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in Counseling, Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Psychology or other related field and two years of clinical experience - OR - Licensed RN with 1 year of counseling experience in a health/human services field - OR - Certified addictions counselor EEO Statement
