Role Description

FCN is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to drive new business development and account growth within the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) community. Based in the Tampa, FL area, this role focuses on generating IT product and solution sales by engaging with the SOCOM community at MacDill AFB. The ideal candidate has deep domain expertise in the SOCOM mission, established relationships within the organization, and a proven track record of successful federal IT sales. The role will involve regular client interactions, travel, and participation in industry events and conferences.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to exceed sales quotas by identifying, qualifying, and closing new IT solutions business within SOCOM.

Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key SOCOM stakeholders, including senior acquisition officials, technical leads, and end‑users at MacDill AFB and throughout the global command.

Serve as a subject matter expert, effectively communicating FCN's value proposition and broad portfolio of technology solutions, including cybersecurity, cloud, networking, and data center modernization.

Collaborate with FCN's technical and engineering teams to present tailored, innovative, and mission‑aligned IT solutions that address SOCOM's unique challenges and requirements.

Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and account activity reports to management.

Maintain a forward presence at key SOCOM‑related industry events and conferences.

Leverage and build upon existing relationships with key OEM partners to maximize sales opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the federal or Department of Defense IT market.

Minimum of 2 years of proven success selling directly into the SOCOM community.

Established network of contacts within SOCOM at MacDill AFB and across its component commands.

Exceptional knowledge of the SOCOM mission, organizational structure, and acquisition processes.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding federal sales targets.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
