Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Safety & Health Manager to join our team in the Kingsport, TN area. The HSE Manager provides support and oversight for the administration and overall implementation of jobsite health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Non‑exempt role; reports to the HSE Director; establishes procedures for specific goals in a broad area of work / only results are reviewed / develops procedures within limits of policy and guidelines.
Essential Qualifications
Preferred but not required B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or approved equivalent certifications
Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience
Post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace
Functional Requirements
Assist with identification of jobsite HSE needs and strategies
Staffing of project locations with qualified HSE personnel
Guidance and support of jobsite Health and Safety Managers
Implementation of HSE improvement tools and processes
Provide appropriate interface and guidance for project locations and management team on health and safety issues.
Interface with Project Management personnel
Implementation and monitoring of the Company’s HSE Management System
Tracking and trending of critical company HSE data and metrics
Providing input for the updating of key company HSE programs and processes including company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance items.
Provide appropriate interface and guidance for project locations and management team on health and safety issues as related to overall responsibility
Assist with identification of departmental HSE needs and strategies
Assist in development of HSE improvement tools and processes
Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction
Compensation Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
