Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Human Resources Manager Our client, a manufacturing organization in Tampla, FL, is seeking a Human Resources Manager for their team. The Human Resources Manager will provide HR support to management and associates of the company in a highly professional, confidential, and customer-first manner. In this role, you will provide guidance and support to business leaders and promote positive associate relations including full life-cycle recruiting, talent management, and onboarding new associates; ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations; coaching managers and associates; conducting associate investigations; and administrating health and safety programs. In addition, the HR Manager will act as a change agent in the development and implementation of new HR initiatives that support the needs of the business.

This role is located in Tampa, Florida and is onsite 5 days per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the development and evaluation of a high-performance workforce: Partners with hiring teams to ensure successful selection and onboarding of top talent including sourcing and interviewing job applicants; administering background & reference checks; and extending offers.

Ensure all job descriptions are up-to-date and compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Plans and conducts new associate orientation in support of business objectives.

Coaches managers on writing and conducting effective performance reviews.

Partners with managers on addressing associate performance issues

Develop and execute strategies to improve retention

Promote a positive associate relations culture

Builds relationships with associates at all levels and serves as the first point of contact for associate relations issues and questions.

Counsels and advises associates and managers regarding people, policies, and associate issues.

Manages and resolves associate relations issues.

Consistent application of company policies promoting an equitable culture

Conducts thorough and complete workplace investigations and makes recommendations to management.

Coordinates associate recognition activities and events.

Encourage a continuous improvement mindset

Assist leadership with improving associate engagement

Be a change agent – challenge old ways of doing business and suggest and/or implement improvements and encourage associate participation in change initiatives

Drive continuous improvement in human resource efforts by applying best practices

Foster a Safety-first mindset among the associates

Guarantee adherence to Federal, State, and Local requirements

Perform administrative duties associated with human resource compliance including the support of policy/handbook updates, maintaining associate files and documents, reporting, auditing accuracy of personnel data, as well as other daily tasks, as assigned

Administer on-time and accurate payroll

Participate in the company’s Safety Team

Facilitate Health and Safety programs, including medical benefits, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, OSHA, ADA, etc.

Responsible for administrating HR policies and procedures following stated business objectives and federal, state, and local legal requirements.

Accurate and timely submittal of reports required by federal, state, and local agencies

Provide ongoing information and training resources for managers and associates

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.

5+ yr. experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

HR certification preferred (HRCI or SHRM)

Experienced user of ADP Workforce Now is preferred

Unquestioned confidentiality

High work capacity and ability to work independently at a high pace.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR procedures, and practices.

Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

Ability to organize and prioritize workload

Strong understanding of business concerns and taking action to solve problems.
