Senior Accountant – Inventory Experience Required - North Metro Atlanta
Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Manage general ledger activity and ensure timely, accurate posting of journal entries.
Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Prepare monthly collateral reporting as required by lenders.
Prepare and file sales and property tax returns and other compliance reports.
Perform financial and trend analyses to support business decisions.
Oversee costing and inventory accounting.
Support Controller‑led third‑party audits (senior lender, insurance, CPA firm).
Assist with the annual physical inventory process.
Provide ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the accounting function.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3–5 years of proven staff or senior accountant experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
Experience with engineered industrial metal products is a plus.
CPA or CMA designation (active or inactive) is beneficial.
Experience in $50–$100 million+ growth‑oriented companies is a plus.
Familiarity with multiple domestic and international entities and consolidated financial reporting.
Comfort working with both in‑house and third‑party international accounting providers.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Proficiency in SAGE 100 or similar ERP software.
Experience implementing, streamlining, and automating accounting and reporting processes.
Strong Microsoft Office skills with intermediate to advanced Excel expertise.
