Job Overview

In this role, you are responsible for rendering quality credit decisions on new HELOC applications, reviewing all required documentation to ensure the credit decision is valid and in line with underwriting policies.
Primary Responsibilities
Analyze and appropriately decide Home Equity Line of Credit applications in accordance with the Consumer Lending credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure material information captured in the application is accurate and updated as needed based on the documentation provided; demonstrate sound judgment while mitigating organization risk.
Meet or exceed productivity levels and credit quality standards as established.
Analyze and interpret POI documents, including personal tax returns, to determine verifiable income and document methodology used.
Analyze all applications for counteroffer opportunities when the original terms requested do not qualify.
Respond timely to questions and emails to provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
Qualifications
2 years mortgage or equity processing or junior underwriting experience in a lending institution.
Experience using Automated Underwriting Systems.
Self‑directed with excellent time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate complex income documentation.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desire to work in a production environment.
Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel.
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm. 4 days required in office. Overtime as needed.
