Overview
Registration Rep-On Site-Menomonie at Mayo Clinic Healthcare London. The Registration Representative may be responsible for the accurate check-in/admissions of incoming patients in hospital and ED settings, including in person and phone/virtual registrations. Responsibilities include verification of patient demographic information, collection of insurance data, creation or identification of appropriate accounts, assisting patients with self-registration, and collection of indicated co-payments and/or share of cost. The role requires ensuring patient safety using positive patient identification protocols and obtaining the appropriate consents as required. Adherence to quality assurance guidelines and productivity standards to support the work unit’s performance expectations is required. Responsibilities
The Registration Representative may perform accurate check-in/admissions of patients in hospital and ED settings (in person or via phone/virtual registrations). Verify patient demographic information and collect insurance data. Create or identify appropriate patient accounts and assist patients with self-registration. Collect indicated co-payments and/or share of cost. Ensure patient safety with positive patient identification protocols and obtain required consents. Adhere to quality assurance guidelines and productivity standards to support performance expectations. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree (required). Ability to read and communicate effectively. Basic computer/keyboarding skills and intermediate mathematical competency. Good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and phone handling skills. Professional interaction with individuals from diverse backgrounds; experience with scheduling systems preferred. Knowledge of and experience using an Epic RC/EMR system preferred. HFMA Certification preferred. Additional Requirements
Position requires good communication skills; prior desk, appointment, or secretarial experience and working knowledge of scheduling systems are preferred. Must have the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals. Experienced with scheduling procedures; Epic RC/EMR experience preferred. Benefits
