Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments. Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off of community vehicles. Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles. Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving. Demonstrate safe driving in transporting residents. Observe speed limits yet remain punctual and safe. Act as a member of the activity staff during outings/excursions and within the community. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests. Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments. Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have either a Class B or Class C license. Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people. Excellent customer service skills. Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families. Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests. Vaccination and PPE requirements may apply according to regulatory guidelines.
