SMX is seeking a skilled System Administrator to support our NAWCAD customer at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The successful candidate will manage and troubleshoot the operating systems and applications on end-user devices and servers in a lab environment and will work directly with the ISSO and cybersecurity team to maintain secure, compliant operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Cradle to grave system administration for endpoints and servers
Operating systems and application patching and updates
Vulnerability scanning and mitigation
Apply STIGs
Backup and recovery
Documentation support
Required Skills & Experience
Clearance Required: Top Secret
3+ years of experience
Must have thorough troubleshooting skills
Experience supporting the latest Windows end user devices and servers
Experience with compliance assurance including apply STIGs, patches, and scanning for accreditation efforts
Experience with hardware troubleshooting and support
Security+ or other IAT Level II (or higher) certification
Desired Skills & Experience
Linux-based systems administration experience
Bachelor's degree is strongly desired
