Position: Assistant Facilities Program Coordinator (SL-3)
Location: Binghamton, NY

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience)

Job Description The Architectural Designer position provides design and construction administration of campus projects, focusing on campus impacts, project budgets, schedules, and minimizing operational disruptions.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with licensed design professionals (architects, engineers, etc.) to define project scope
Prepare design concepts, construction cost estimates, and final construction documents (drawings and specifications)
Provide periodic review of construction progress, attend job meetings, and respond to requests for information (RFI’s)
Coordinate with campus customers and committees to ensure project needs align with campus needs and minimize negative impacts
Maintain communication with all project stakeholders, including construction groups such as plumbers, electricians, and other trades
Requirements
Associate's degree in Architecture or related field
2+ years of experience in design/project coordination in architectural, electrical, mechanical or related field
Experience working with construction groups such as plumbers, electricians, etc.
Working proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Architectural
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
5+ years of experience in design/project coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Project
Professional license, registration or related certifications
