Job Summary
Senior Proposal Specialist to join GFT’s BD&M team in the Southeast (Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia).
Key Responsibilities
Lead one complex proposal concurrently with smaller proposals.
Lead sections of complex proposals.
Organize and coordinate interview teams; prepare content.
Ensure proposal work is monitored, messaging and quality reviewed.
Compile and distribute meeting notes, action items, and review comments from all proposal meetings.
Perform detailed analysis of SOQ/RFP requirements; prepare compliance matrices, outlines, and schedules.
Organize and coordinate proposal resources (project management/technical team, proposal support, subconsultant input, graphics/print teams).
Ensure completion of all assignments, review of all work, and adherence to internal best practices and quality control objectives.
Provide strategic writing and editing support for general qualifications, executive summaries, win themes, personnel resumes, project descriptions, summary paragraphs, action captions, and benefit statements.
Enter and track opportunities and proposals in CRM.
Support sales interview teams, schedule/facilitate kickoff meetings and rehearsals, and prepare presentation and supporting materials.
Facilitate capture plan support for short- to medium-length capture phases/simple pursuits.
Liaise with MARCOM staff during capture planning.
Maintain updated CRM documentation.
Coordinate client management team activities for Tier 2 clients.
Participate in Tier 1 client management activities; coordinate scheduling and note-taking.
Coordinate with MARCOM to define support needs.
Provide research support, scheduling, and organization of information to other Tier 1 clients.
Format and edit client management plans in accordance with company templates and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
4‑year degree required in English, marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years combined prior proposal experience, with progressive responsibility during the past year.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently to execute the proposal lifecycle.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $85,000 – $95,000 (dependent on experience and geographic location).
