Intrinsic Development is a full‑service real estate development company specializing in upscale multi‑family and commercial mixed‑use projects across the Midwest. With more than 3.5 million square feet built and 300,000 square feet under construction, we are expanding into Lee's Summit, MO for our new corporate office and 260+ acre mixed‑use development featuring 2,900 luxury multi‑family units and 660,000+ square feet of retail, office, and hospitality space.
IT SYSTEMS SUPPORT SPECIALIST POSITION This role provides hands‑on end‑user support and collaborates on infrastructure projects across our portfolio of apartment communities. Responsibilities include daily technical support, equipment management, and involvement in the planning, installation, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure such as camera systems, access control, networking equipment, and community‑wide Wi‑Fi.
IT SYSTEMS SUPPORT SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES End‑User Support & Help Desk
Provide Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and software applications.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes: new‑hire setup, account creation, software access, printer/server drive mapping, and hardware deployment.
Recommend appropriate hardware/software configurations and order necessary equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and user access needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve day‑to‑day hardware and software issues; elevate complex issues as appropriate.
Infrastructure & Project Support
Assist with planning, installation, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure in new apartment community developments.
Camera systems (CCTV): installation, positioning, configuration, and troubleshooting, including cloud‑based networks.
Access control systems: setup, maintenance, and problem resolution.
Networking: ensure internet connectivity in leasing offices, coordinate with ISPs/third‑party providers.
Provide input into IT infrastructure design during new construction projects.
Support cabling and network setup including Cat6 termination, Wi‑Fi network setup, router placement, and community Wi‑Fi wiring.
Support future IT office buildouts, including server/storage upgrades and connectivity planning.
Systems & Server Knowledge
Administer and troubleshoot on‑premises storage (NAS) and support migration/upgrade efforts.
Understand core server concepts: Active Directory, file sharing, permissions, backups, and user management.
Place and configure servers as required.
Coordinate with third‑party providers for advanced server management while maintaining in‑house knowledge for day‑to‑day troubleshooting.
General IT Administration
Document IT procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
Maintain patching, updates, and basic cybersecurity hygiene on endpoints.
Partner with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues and coordinate new technology rollouts.
IT SYSTEMS SUPPORT SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS
3–5 years of IT support experience, preferably in a Level 2 or systems technician role.
Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft 365, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Experience with NAS or entry‑level server administration.
Hands‑on knowledge of camera/security systems and access control platforms preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills across hardware, software, and networking.
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide end‑user training.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across help‑desk requests and project work.
Experience with VoIP systems and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with cloud solutions (Azure AD, OneDrive, SharePoint).
Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices (endpoint protection, MFA, phishing prevention).
Project coordination experience in IT buildouts or system installations.
