Developer

for a

Contract

with a client in

Plano, TX . Candidates must have strong COBOL and JCL development experience to be considered for this role.

Rate Range:

$47/hour to $49/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain code using COBOL and JCL across various mainframe applications.

Work with databases such as DB2, IMS DB/DC, and VSAM for data handling and integration.

Utilize IBM mainframe tools and utilities like FileAid, Spufi, Changeman, DFSORT, and IDCAMS for efficient development and troubleshooting.

Participate in agile practices, including Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA and ServiceNOW.

Support issue resolution and enhancements, ensuring performance and reliability of legacy systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

6–8 years of experience in mainframe application development.

Minimum 4–6 years of hands‑on coding experience in COBOL and JCL.

Strong expertise in IBM mainframe tools and utilities such as FileAid, Spufi, Changeman, DFSORT, and IDCAMS.

Pay Details:

$47.00 to $49.00 per hour.
