Job Description ECS is seeking a highly qualified
Senior Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity Analyst
to operationalize eMASS’s Asset Module for our DoD Client, located in Seaside, CA and Alexandria, VA.
To operationalize the eMASS Asset Module across our client’s eMASS ATO instances, the selected, highly motivated candidate will utilize their extensive cybersecurity analyst experience to implement the eMASS security solution. Our client maintains approximately 80 ATOs at any given time. Operationalizing eMASS Asset Module is an information management effort and aligns with the client’s RMF maturity approach. ATO Program Owners require direct support in achieving asset currency in eMASS, to include incorporating new asset module templates.
Serve as a Senior Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity Analyst supporting the operationalization of the eMASS Asset Module with a focus on data management and updates
Tailor and implement DISA eMASS Asset Module Best Practices for the DHRA/DMDC environment(s)
Perform extensive analysis of Asset Module data across approximately 80 ATOs to identify as-is state, gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities for each project lifecycle, as needed
Utilize Cyber analyst and eMASS knowledge throughout all phases of the eMASS Asset Module project lifecycle, with emphasis on data currency, accuracy, and consistency
Provide direct support to ATO Program Owners in their adoption of the eMASS Asset Module
Standardize Asset Module data tasks across 80 ATOS in the areas of: 1) Initial baseline data entry and validation, 2) Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) data updates, 3) End Point sensor-based resource data coordination, 4) Vulnerability scan data integration, 5) Data import/export processes, 6) Data testing and validation, and 7) Data migration activities
Author or Co-Author documentation which may include SOPs, Training Materials, Process Diagrams, Status Reporting, and presentations or metrics as requested
Perform duties in alignment with agile and rapid delivery approaches to incremental delivery
Participate in Cyber Compliance Meetings as needed.
Create presentations and metrics as requested. Create weekly, monthly, and in-progress review presentations, as needed
Salary Range:
$145,000 - $165,000
Required Skills
Must be a US citizen, possess a Secret Clearance, and be willing to acquire and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance if requested
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, or similar discipline and 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, in support of the DoD or other federal clients (education/experience substitution allowed)
3+ years of recent hands‑on experience with all features of the DoD eMASS application
Active DoD 8570 certification minimum compliance, including at least one of the following certifications in good standing: CASP+ CE, CISSP, Security+
Demonstrated Senior Cybersecurity Analyst skills, capabilities and knowledge
Firm understanding of the NIST Special Publications, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and NIST 800-53 R4 security controls
Broad technical knowledge of DISA STIGs, SCAP benchmarks, vulnerability scanning tools, and compliance assessment methodologies
Self‑managing and self‑directing work style with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively with government and contract leadership, while conveying highly technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Capacity to thrive in a complex, fast paced environment while delivering consistent, high-quality services to the client
Desired Skills
eMASS Asset Module experience
Prior DMDC or DHRA experience
CISSP certification
Experience supporting large and complex environments spanning all NIST RMF Lifecycle steps
