Overview
Citi’s Commercial Bank (CCB) is looking for Full-Time Associates to join the bank. This role supports the Industrials, Consumer and Services ("Core East") coverage team based in New York, supporting bankers and client relationships on the East Coast. The Core East Team within the Commercial Banking Group helps clients maximize growth by leveraging Citi’s banking products, including deposit and lending, cash management, trade, FX, and capital markets solutions. The Associate Program provides foundational knowledge and training to contribute as a valuable resource on a relationship coverage team, with real-world work and hands-on activity supporting Citi’s client base. The role of Coverage team members is to serve as a thought partner to clients, delivering Citi’s full breadth of solutions to help fund operations and expand locally and overseas. Responsibilities
Conducting company research and industry analysis Analyzing financial data and performing financial modeling focused on company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, and pro-forma analyses Owning the client experience, partnering with Bankers and Product teams to determine which products to leverage to help clients achieve their goals Participating in deal management and client presentation preparation, including creating business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memos, and other client-related decks Interacting with partners across the firm, including product, credit risk, investment banking, legal, marketing, operations, risk, compliance, and technology Engaging daily with clients, prospects, and centers of influence Adhering to target market strategies, leveraging Citi’s value proposition, and coordinating the client coverage model Understanding various credit product types and how these solutions fit client needs Supporting bankers in the end-to-end credit process, including origination of credit and monitoring of an assigned credit portfolio Understanding and adhering to Citi credit policy and regulatory policies and procedures Qualifications
2 years’ work experience, credit experience, or commercial banking experience Demonstrated interest in core industries Formal credit training preferred Experience partnering with stakeholders to achieve goals Relationship and pipeline management experience Experience with Salesforce, Pitchbook, FactSet is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong written and verbal communication skills Education: Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting FINRA licensing SIE, 63 and 79 required or due within 150 days of hire ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family Group:
