About Pension Consultants, Inc. Pension Consultants, Inc. is a nationally‑ranked plan adviser dedicated to getting American workers on track for retirement. With over 30 years of experience, PCI is one of the nation’s largest and oldest independent retirement plan advisers.
Since 1994, PCI has set the standard for retirement plan management. We pioneered much of the modern plan adviser service model—introducing structured investment selection, committee oversight, and fiduciary reporting—that is commonplace today.
To illustrate, PlanAdviser, the industry’s namesake publication, didn’t launch until 2006—more than a decade after we had already begun shaping this discipline.
We were one of the first plan advisers to accept fiduciary responsibility in writing—an unprecedented step at the time.
We launched the Pension Focus Conference in 1996 and ran it annually through 2021.
Our most recent fee and service model is a step‑change innovation in transparency and accountability. That’s because we believe transparency creates accountability and accountability drives results.
