Overview This position of Student Information Technical Lead will work with a team of senior‑level application developers to provide research, analysis, application development, and support services for the Banner Student system and related ERP implementations. The incumbent will provide innovative design and critical thinking for software projects, recommend solution architecture options, and work with cross‑functional teams to recommend creative technical solutions to business or system issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using languages and tools such as APIs, ReactJS, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and other relevant technologies.
Experience managing projects, including planning, designing, testing, documenting, and installing information systems.
Experience with Linux, Oracle, Tomcat, IDE, and Git.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership, architecture, management, and coordination for priority software development projects and system upgrades.
Serve on a team as a senior‑level software architect and provide key application development support to custom applications, web services, and system integrations.
Design, code, test, implement, and document complex programs, program modifications, or applications for the ERP system using development tools, languages, and database structures.
Develop solutions using languages and tools such as APIs, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and others as needed for specific job responsibilities.
Application development against Oracle and other database structures as needed.
Direct, supervise, and coordinate efforts of application analysts and programmers in planning, designing, testing, documenting, and installing information systems.
Provide mentorship and support to developers and functional users, identifying and resolving complex software solutions.
Coordinate personnel resources and delegate responsibilities for projects and tasks.
Maintain awareness of new and developing technologies, acquire and apply new technical skills, and provide documentation, training, and skill transfer to other staff members.
Assist with providing technical leadership in coordination and implementation of project plans for software deployment and promotion, including student system upgrade installs.
Provide support and oversight to production application system operations as assigned, including after‑hour critical/core systems support when required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Advanced knowledge in all phases of analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance for an ERP system and its interfaces.
Excellent communication and innovation skills.
Experience with Linux, Oracle, Tomcat, IDE, and Git.
Benefits & Work Environment Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm; occasional after‑hours as needed. This position is not eligible for remote work.
