IBM Maximo Trainer (Hybrid)

Education and Experience
36 years of experience in training development, instructional design, or learning strategy - ideally within IBM Maximo or other enterprise asset management (EAM) platforms.
Demonstrated experience developing learning content for IT system implementations or upgrades (Maximo, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Proven ability to design technical and business process training that supports both IT and end‑user adoption.
Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR) and their integration with training efforts.
Experience in the utilities industry (electric, gas, or water) or other asset‑intensive sectors is strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of business analysis and project management principles, including Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project).
Experience with LMS platforms and eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, WalkMe, or similar).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Self-starter capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
IBM Maximo certification(s) or equivalent project experience.
Experience with Maximo 7.6 or MAS 8.x environments.
Familiarity with IBM Maximo modules (Work Management, Asset Management, Inventory, Purchasing).
Exposure to data governance, maintenance planning, or enterprise support models.
Experience developing blended learning solutions (instructor‑led + digital).
WHAT YOULL DO Job Responsibilities
Design and implement training strategies and roadmaps to support the rollout of Maximo and related systems.
Develop an overall training plan and curriculum based on design documents and user impact assessments.
Develop and maintain IBM Maximo training materials, including user guides, quick reference cards, eLearning modules, simulations, and instructor‑led training content.
Collaborate with Change Management and Project teams to align training deliverables with project milestones and business objectives.
Conduct training needs analysis to identify target audiences, skill gaps, and learning objectives.
Facilitate train‑the‑trainer sessions and support end‑user learning through classroom, virtual, and on‑demand channels.
Perform QA/QC reviews of training materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
Utilize adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies (ADDIE [Analyze/Design/Develop/Implement/Evaluate], SAM, or Agile Learning).
Support ongoing change management activities, including user readiness assessments and feedback sessions.
Document and update system processes in coordination with business process owners and technical teams.
Partner with IT and Business teams to ensure training aligns with operational support models.
Partner with Maximo implementation team to establish and populate a Training Environment that can be used for active training sessions and classroom exercises.
