Job Description Who You'll Work With
As a member of the Arista Sales team, you are the face of Arista to our customers, championing their problems and aligning Arista’s technical resources to achieve business outcomes. You will partner with Customer Engineers, Professional Services and Executive teams, supporting a culture of team success. This role reports to a Regional Sales Manager or Area VP of Sales.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a Major Account Manager to grow the Arista brand within the Austin and San Antonio area.
Job Responsibilities
Exceed measurable sales objectives and extend the Arista brand within Fortune 1000 accounts and develop new logo accounts.
Utilize a consultative selling approach with key client stakeholders to address the business needs of hybrid cloud computing and legacy IT systems across Arista’s product portfolio—including Software‑Driven Open Networking, high‑performance Data Centers, Campus networks, Cognitive Campus Wi‑Fi, DANZ Monitoring Fabric, Network Detection & Response (NDR) and End‑Point Security solutions.
Meet with key influencers, decision‑makers and C‑level executives to present Arista’s value proposition.
Work with Arista systems engineers to design and position compelling solutions that reduce total cost of ownership.
Collaborate with technology partners to identify prospects and demonstrate best‑in‑class solutions.
Establish and manage key channel relationships in your territory.
Formulate strategic and tactical account plans based on periodic business reviews with prospects and customers.
Conduct demand generation activities such as happy hours, lunch‑n‑learns and technology forums.
Collaborate with Arista peers on marketing plans and best practices.
Stay up‑to‑date with partner solutions, competing solutions and competitor strategies.
Qualifications You possess a hunter mentality and a proven track record of technology sales, cultivating relationships with existing customers and penetrating new logo accounts. You are an influencer and trusted advisor, delivering business value to users and stakeholders.
BS/BA degree or equivalent, and 8+ years of technology sales experience.
Proven record of direct selling into target accounts and exceeding sales targets.
Relevant data center or networking (LAN/WAN, SDN) industry background required.
Strong network of relationships within the territory.
Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
Technical acumen in networking, SDN, NFV, switching, routing, data center, edge computing, or cloud computing.
