We’re seeking a hands‑on
Credit Manager
with experience in manufacturing, distribution, or trading. The ideal candidate will know how to assess risk, manage receivables, and strengthen internal processes to keep operations running smoothly. This leadership role will own credit strategy and policy development while partnering closely with sales and leadership teams. Strong financial analysis and A/R reporting skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and verify the financial status and creditworthiness of new and existing customers
Oversee daily functions of the credit department, including collections, credit applications and annual customer reviews
Set credit limits, process applications, and make approval or denial decisions based on company guidelines
Communicate credit decisions and findings to Traders and management, ensuring alignment across teams
Monitor and follow up on delinquent accounts, pursuing payment and maintaining detailed account records
Collaborate with internal teams and other FCTG subsidiaries/affiliates to share credit insights and mitigate overall risk
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management preferred, but not required
Credit Business Associate (CBA) designation with NACM (National Association of Credit Management) preferred, but not required
At least 5–7 years of prior credit/collections experience required
Knowledge of credit insurance and the Bectran online application software is beneficial
Ability to problem solve, organize, prioritize, multi-task, manage time and take direction
