Job Overview Step into a key role as a Senior Accountant at our client’s top Financial Services Firm in New York City. This long‑term project involves high‑level accounting support, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.
Responsibilities
Assist with month/quarter end processes including journal entries, transaction reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare timely and accurate audited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Support quarterly management reporting, including variance and trend analysis.
Maintain fixed asset register ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Collaborate with the Financial Controller on various ad‑hoc projects to support financial operations.
Gather necessary information for financial reporting from various departments.
Ensure accuracy in all financial documents and reports.
Qualifications
CPA with 5+ years post‑qualification experience in a multi‑currency financial services environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in US GAAP.
Detail‑oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (ERP systems experience is a plus).
