We are currently seeking a Temporary Systems Engineer for a nine‑month assignment within our Digital Nexus technology organization. The position focuses on managing and supporting enterprise server infrastructure running both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, configure, and provide ongoing support for server infrastructure hosting enterprise applications.
Troubleshoot complex system hardware and software issues; collaborate with internal teams and vendors to coordinate solutions.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technical staff to implement solutions that meet business needs.
Work directly with users to prioritize requests and provide timely updates on progress and delivery timelines.
Coordinate support escalation communication; maintain project technical documentation including design, configuration, and installation details.
Support end‑to‑end application testing, defect management, change and release management; provide on‑call support, including off‑hours and weekend coverage.
Qualifications
At least one year of recent experience operating in a large enterprise environment with system implementation at scale.
Technical expertise in Windows Server and Linux operating systems; working knowledge of SANs.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (IIS, Microsoft Cluster Service, Certificates, PowerShell) and experience with VMware vSphere or Cisco UCS platform administration.
Strong troubleshooting skills using Windows OS tools (Event Logs, Perfmon, Netsh, PowerShell). Ability to automate tasks with PowerShell or Python.
Experience with Datadog, SCOM, Qualys, and ServiceNow is a plus.
