Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance University of North Georgia – Gainesville campus

Tenure‑track, ten‑month position beginning August 1, 2026. Full‑time, regular.

Job Summary The Department of Economics and Finance invites applications for an assistant/associate professor of finance. The position will include teaching of principles of finance, investment management, financial institutions, and graduate courses; service to the department, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and UNG; and research publishing.

Responsibilities

Teach three courses each fall semester and three courses each spring semester.

Utilize innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide high‑quality instruction.

Adopt a student‑centered, experiential learning approach inside and outside the classroom.

Publish research in peer‑reviewed theoretical, applied, or pedagogical finance journals.

Participate in active service for the Department of Economics & Finance, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and UNG.

Provide academic advising and other activities that support student success.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. or DBA in finance or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution required at time of hire.

ABD candidates will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with student‑managed investment activities and Bloomberg activities/certifications.

Online teaching experience.
