Job Summary The Lecturer is responsible for course instruction while fostering creativity in the learning environment and promoting robust student engagement. Successful candidates will teach courses in the health sciences concentrations of Public Health and Patient Navigation. Candidates must be able to engage with GGC’s global student population. This is a one-semester full-time appointment in the School of Health Sciences for the Spring Semester beginning January 2026. This position reports directly to the Department Chair of Health Sciences.

Responsibilities

Essential Function 1 – Effectively teach and evaluate students in the classroom and field settings.

Essential Function 2 – Collaborate with other faculty to ensure student learning and program outcomes are met.

Essential Function 3 – Mentor students as needed.

Essential Function 4 – Instruct students in the clinical practice lab settings.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in public health, health sciences or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral Degree in Public Health or related field

1-2 years of experience in higher education

Proficiency with D2L Learning Management System, Banner INB, & Microsoft Office Software

Background in Public Health, Health Administration, or Health Promotion

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Must be able to develop, implement and evaluate teaching plans for classroom and practice lab settings.

Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

Must be collegial with faculty, staff, and students.

Ready to embrace and work with GGC’s global student population.
