Description
Summary: Monitors unusual and illegal activities throughout the property. Completes ongoing training regarding all casino table games, slots, internal theft, fraud awareness programs, Nevada gaming regulations, minimum internal controls, case file management and surveillance standard operating procedures.
Surveillance Investigator
Essential Functions
Utilizes approved and necessary equipment to identify, record, document and report illegal and unusual activities occurring in all gaming areas, non-gaming areas and back of the house
Reports all illegal and unusual activities to the appropriate authorities
Maintains consistent and continuous self-education program to further job-related knowledge and skills
Ensures compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
Assists in the training of investigator trainees
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
At least one year of experience working in gaming surveillance systems operations or previous gaming experience
Must possess some knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Casino Standards, Title 31, Regulation 5 and Nevada Revised Statutes
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication skills
Ability to find common sense solutions to problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Able to communicate in a group setting as well as one-on-one situations
Previous experience using computers, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States

Vision, hearing, speech and literacy (critical)
Ability to remain in sitting position (over 75% of the time)
Ability to move throughout the casino floor (less than 25% of the time)
Maintain concentrated attention to detail for sustained periods
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Working indoors in a smoky, noisy, dark environment
