This role offers a base pay range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
Overview Are you passionate about public service and storytelling that drives impact? The Mayor’s Office is seeking a dynamic Digital Media Manager to lead our digital strategy, elevate community engagement, and amplify the Mayor’s priorities across platforms. This role is ideal for a creative communicator with strong judgment, a collaborative spirit, and the agility to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑profile environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with Mayor’s Office goals and priorities
Create and execute digital campaigns to foster community engagement and inform the public about City initiatives, events, and policies
Create and curate unique, authentic content to ensure timely and relevant updates about the Mayor’s work and priorities
Collaborate with City departments and other partners to coordinate efforts, tell compelling stories, and share best practices
Manage and maintain the mayor’s official website and social media channels
Monitor online engagement and respond to inquiries or comments as appropriate
Analyze data to assess the impact of digital initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvements
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and digital trends to identify opportunities for improvement
Staff the Mayor at various community events
Occasionally staff the Mayor at press conferences and serve as the primary contact for media at those events
Manage communications intern as needed
Requirements
Interest in public service and care for the people of Phoenix
Strong initiative and work ethic
Excellent judgment and integrity; handles sensitive information with discretion
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to multitask, pivot quickly, and manage stressful situations
Strong writing and communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary
Professional etiquette and ability to work well with a diverse team
Salary and Benefits
Salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year
