Overview
Staff Accountant Garland, TX – hybrid, 3 days onsite. Vaco has partnered with a highly-acquisitive tech company in East Dallas in the process of building out an Accounting team and is looking to onboard 1-2 Staff Accountants. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor and have a direct impact on the organization as well as promote from within. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify discrepancies and trends. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions as needed. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP). Compensation
Compensation:
