Inova Fairfax Medical Center is looking for a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technologist 3 to join the team. This role will be PRN. Writes a comprehensive patient history by gathering appropriate information from patients, patients' records and/or family members to include, but not be limited to, seizure types, date of last seizure and other neurological symptomatology and medications as documented in patients' charts. Conducts procedures at Inova Health System affiliated hospitals as requested. Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of patients at all times. Performs routine, ambulatory, neonatal exams, long-term video electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potentials, SPECT scans, WADA's and Tilt table with video EEGs. Conducts Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential studies by utilizing knowledge of audiology instrumentation and pattern recognition as well as Visual Evoked Potential studies. Minimum Qualifications

Education:

High School or GED; Graduate from an accredited program for Electro-neurodiagnostic Technology and five years of experience in Neurodiagnostics or a Neurophysiological field is required; Registry as a R.EEG.T. is required. One additional credential is preferred: R.EP.T. CLTM, CNIM. An Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired. Licensing:

Basic Life Support Upon Start; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Upon Start; Registry as a R.EEG.T; Successful completion of examination for registration by ABRET (Electroencephalograph and/or Evoked Potential) or completion of examination Experience:

5 years of experience in the Neurodiagnostic field in an inpatient or office setting. Experience performing advanced EEG/evoked potential studies
