Essential Responsibilities

Develop community partnerships by communicating with families and leveraging resources that support student success in college, leadership, and life.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (required).

Strong content knowledge and pedagogical understanding; ability to plan and deliver instruction that meets student needs.

Job Requirements

Work hours require consistent attendance during scheduled hours; flexibility is limited by classroom or operational requirements.

Breaks are structured within the workday and must align with operational needs and student care requirements.

Physical requirements include interacting with students and moving through various parts of the school.

Social requirements involve extensive interaction with students, colleagues, and the public.

On‑site presence is required; remote work is generally not an option.

Credential / License Requirements (California)

Possess (or obtain by July 2025) a valid California Preliminary or Clear Single Subject credential in Chemistry.

Eligible for a California Single Subject Intern credential in Chemistry (must earn by July 2025).

Eligible for a Short‑Term Staff Permit or Provisional Internship Permit and have a valid CPR certification meeting American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards.

Compensation – Salary For credentialed teachers, salary ranges from $71,085 to $127,985 (2024‑25 scale) based on education level and experience.

For aspiring teachers without credentials, salary range is $62,316 to $63,866 (2024‑25 scale).
