Fire Alarm Inspector Position A Fire Alarm Inspector is responsible for performing scheduled or unscheduled inspection and maintenance on fire alarms, and kitchen hoods in commercial spaces.

Required Licenses

FAL and FEL-K

Although not required, it is beneficial for the successful candidate to have the following license: FEL-A

This position has a salary range of $32-37 per hour depending on experience and held licenses.

Responsibilities

Performance of daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on fire alarms, and kitchen hoods.

Service and test all systems.

Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.

Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Assist in the scheduling and completion of assigned duties.

Ability to work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Two years of experience in the fire protection industry preferred.

Understand NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and building and fire codes.

Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.

Valid driver’s license; in accordance with company policy required.

Able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
