Bus Driver (Training Required)
Location: Peninsula School District, Gig Harbor, WA.

Job Description Drive school buses for the Peninsula School District, operating routes during school hours and field trips, safe under all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Transport students and authorized persons on scheduled routes.
Ensure safety of passengers and safe operation of vehicle.
Maintain accurate logs and evidence of maintenance.
Assist with boarding and disembarking, provide positive reinforcement to students.
Volunteer driving for field trips or special activities as needed.
Training and Pay
3-6 weeks of paid training to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with School Bus Endorsement.
Training pay rate: $16.66/hr during classroom portion.
Qualifications
Valid Washington State driver’s license.
At least 5 years licensed driving experience.
Pass the agility test during interview.
Willingness to complete or ability to obtain a school bus driver training program.
Background check, drug & alcohol testing, first aid/CPR, DOT physical, and driver’s abstract will be provided by district.
