Job Description Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Restaurant Manager for the beautiful Barton Creek Resort & Spa. We are recognized among the best resorts in Texas.
Responsibilities
Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness and guest well-being.
Maintain full familiarity with menus and beverage offerings.
Ensure all staff completes side work checklists for the dining room.
Assist in overall management of the outlet.
Spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies.
Hold pre‑shift meetings.
Follow up on established training steps.
Handle guest comments and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
Stay on the floor during peak hours.
Observe, teach and correct staff service professionally.
Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
Schedule, complete weekly payroll and forecast.
Participate in interviewing and recruiting new employees.
Prepare maintenance requests and follow up.
Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining and bottles empty daily.
Approve paid time off requests.
Performance management for staff, including attendance, annual reviews, departmental meetings, disciplinary actions.
Maintain work email and responses.
Maintain knowledge of resort property and events.
Conduct monthly department and OST meetings.
Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming; wear proper attire and name tag.
Participate in required company training.
Adhere to liquor liability laws and emergency procedures to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
Current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications.
2+ years experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager, ideally in a 4‑star high‑volume restaurant or hotel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask.
Prior serving and cash‑handling experience preferred.
Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Collaborate with culinary team on food presentation, specials, and promotions.
Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
Understanding of menu design or prior culinary training.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull moderate‑weight objects without assistance.
Working Environment
Interior of hotel dining room and kitchen; occasional travel around resort property.
Exposure to hazardous chemicals and food/beverage items.
