Base pay range $50,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr

Opportunity Summary Inside Generator Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the sales team by estimating and quoting potential sales, coordinating internal efforts to produce the products sold, and monitoring post‑sale activity to project completion.

Job Duties

Supports outside sales representatives in developing estimates, quotations, vendor supplies, and startup service labor requirements.

Research possible sales avenues of the Bid/Spec market, including Builders Exchange, Construct Connect, Engineering Firms, Electrical Contractors, Municipal bids, etc.

Research, vet, qualify, prioritize sales/customer leads, and document findings in the CRM system.

Qualify and work with current vendors to assist in meeting the customer’s specifications.

Handle inbound sales lead calls, forwarding them to the appropriate outside sales representative to convert calls into sales.

Coordinate project files with the project management team.

Coordinate activity between vendors and between service, parts, and sales departments to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services needed to fulfill a customer order.

Enter information into the system to capture costs and progress on sales projects, providing timely and accurate reports of performance and progress, and maintain related files for each transaction.

Interface with the outside sales team to clarify project scope and deliverables for each assigned project.

Monitor the sales department’s inventory to maximize stock generator sales.

Coordinate/support any post‑sales activity with the project management team.

Work Experience & Qualifications

4+ years of relevant generator sales experience and/or equivalent industry experience.

Technical background in Industrial Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, and related components.

Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.

Competent knowledge of business software systems such as Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
