Overview Post Doctoral Scholar to pursue research studying innate immune epigenetic and transcriptional regulation under the guidance of scientific mentor in the Department of Microbial Infection & Immunity; designs, conducts, and evaluates research experiments; plans and executes advanced molecular biology, virology, and immunology research techniques and procedures; develops, adopts and implements new laboratory methods; analyzes and interprets data; writes research papers for publication; performs scientific literature searches; presents research findings at local, national, or international scientific meetings; applies for postdoctoral fellowships; assists PI with writing and submitting grant proposals to obtain extramural funding in support of research; performs scientific literature searches; participates in journal clubs, laboratory meetings, and Department seminars and activities; assists with training of other lab members.

Job Title and Location Post Doctoral Scholar to pursue research in the Department of Microbial Infection & Immunity. Location: Biomedical Research Tower (0112).

MD, PhD, or MD/PhD required.

Ability to interact in a highly multidisciplinary environment; experience with molecular biology, virology, and immunology research techniques and procedures desired; experience with animal handling and husbandry desired.
