Construction & Building Maintenance Adjunct Instructor
Remington College is seeking an exceptional Construction and Building Maintenance Adjunct Instructor.
Base pay range $28.00/hr - $29.00/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver instruction in one or more of the following areas:
Construction Technology
Building Maintenance
HVAC
Electrical/Plumbing Systems
Business Fundamentals (e.g., management, entrepreneurship, business operations)
Develop or follow provided course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
Teach classes as assigned (day, evening, weekend, or online).
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback through assignments, quizzes, exams, and practical evaluations.
Maintain accurate and timely student records including attendance, grades, and progress reports.
Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for a diverse student body.
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration.
Attend required faculty meetings, training sessions, or professional development events.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or higher in a related field OR relevant industry certifications with significant professional experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in construction, building maintenance, business management, or a related industry.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to teach diverse learners and adapt teaching methods to varied learning styles.
Work Environment
Instruction may occur in classroom settings, labs, or on-site (e.g., construction training labs).
May involve occasional lifting, use of tools/equipment, and working in environments reflective of real-world job sites.
