Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare invites applications for the Nocturnist Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider APP role at Methodist Germantown, focusing on acute care services.
Overview The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for planning and directing the delivery of primary health care and health education programs in association with Methodist Healthcare Primary Care Associates (MHPCA). The incumbent will provide care and health education for patients and their families, modeling appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision, and Values.
What You Will Do
Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in the assigned center according to approved protocol and acceptable standards.
Performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to written, approved protocols developed with and under the supervision of the Medical Director/collaborating Physician, and participates in the design and revision of protocols.
Collaborates with Medical Physician and ancillary personnel as appropriate to promote quality care for patients, making referrals as necessary.
Recognizes and reacts appropriately to environmental safety factors related to patient care.
Understands, applies and supports practice policies, procedures, goals and standards.
Develops strong partnership with patients, family members, fellow physicians/nurses and support staff, focusing on high patient and family satisfaction and retention.

Master's Degree Advanced Practice Nursing

Doctorate Advanced Practice Nursing
Work Experience Requirements
3-5 years of general nursing or clinical practice

Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous or poisonous materials.
Exposure to excessive heat or cold as required.
Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
May require handling or administering narcotics.
Ability to read and write for oral and written communication.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, twist, crawl, and bend.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and use hands for gripping and squeezing.
Ability to use hands and feet together for repetitive coordinated motions.
Good hand-eye coordination.
